How much is the stud fee for King Mauve?+
A $500 non-refundable deposit reserves your stud slot. The remaining balance depends on the service you choose. For a shipped Breeder Box you also cover the reproductive vet collection fee plus overnight shipping, and the full balance is paid before the box ships. For a live cover you travel to us and the full balance is paid before breeding takes place.
Is the $500 deposit refundable?+
No. The $500 deposit is non-refundable. It reserves your slot in King Mauve's book and starts the contract and paperwork. Slots are limited each season.
What is a Breeder Box and how does shipped semen work?+
The Breeder Box is an insulated overnight shipping container for chilled semen. It includes a foam cooler, a three-tube foam cavity insert, a Nordic ice pack, two 15 ml capped transport tubes, two 10 ml syringes, two 10-inch pipettes, lubricating jelly and nitrile gloves. We collect with a reproductive vet, pack it chilled and ship overnight so your vet can inseminate on your dam's progesterone window.
What health testing and DNA results does King Mauve have?+
King Mauve carries a full DNA color panel and health clearances including DM, HUU, JHC and CMR1, plus cardiac, patella and brucellosis screening. Full documentation is provided with your stud contract.
What do I need to send before breeding?+
Your dam's full health testing and DNA color panel, progesterone timing from your reproductive vet, and a signed stud contract. We breed on progesterone numbers, not guesses.
What happens if my dam does not take?+
You get one free repeat breeding on the next season, provided the miss is documented by your reproductive vet. The deposit guarantees your slot and that free repeat. It does not guarantee a pregnancy.

King Mauve only takes a handful of dams a season. $500 holds your slot. Everything else runs on your vet's timeline.
